Oacians embody the element of water. They are extremely patriotic, at sometimes to a fault. They find themselves in absolute loyalty towards their culture and their monarch. Although they exhibit many negative traits, their ways can be changed as water is ever flowing and shifting, it just stays the same when held and contained by something else.
What are Ocians?

Oacians are water based creatures with the ability to traverse both land and the aquatic realm. When they are not swimming with their tails, they are walking the land just as any Valk or Dex could. Oacians need a body of water present in any living space so they don’t dry out, and so they can be relatively comfortable. They cannot stay out of water for too long or else their skin will dry out. They are usually cool and wet to the touch. Some have scales in certain areas of their body, just like humans would have birthmarks. Their skin will range in cool shades from light bluish grey to dark grey purples, and sea greens. Oacians possess two gill slits on either side of their necks.
Oacians inhabit their own region of ocean, but can also be found in other large bodies of water. These habitats must have a minimum depth of 100 feet of open water. Their capital city, Crythpool, is primarily placed in a large area on the seafloor, but parts of it lie at higher and lower depths of the ocean. There is a land faring trade entrance on a small island close to the shore.

Oacian’s are loyal, competitive, perfectionists. All to a fault. Although they adore their Queen Merlina Lympha de Saevus, however she rules with an iron fist. Her word is law purposely isolating her people from the rest of the world because of her own personal mistrust in the other four kingdoms. The political practices of the other kingdoms see her as a dictator, however her people are brought up to disregard such laws as the only one who truly cares for them is their one true ruler.
Who Rules the Oacians?
Oacian’s surround themselves with fish and sea-life, but that’s also what they kind of…are. Oacian’s have always been my representation of mermaids and in that strain of thinking a type of fish. You wouldn’t see a donkey eating a horse right? However shellfish don’t really fall into that category. So I kept the Oacian palette mostly vegetarian with some lobster and crab thrown in there for some protein.
Oacian Culture

Oacian’s are perfectionists by nature. This means that everything from the planning of their cities to the organization of their personal space all have to be just right. Similar to Valkirians Oacians believe in cleanliness as well. Washing scales properly, brushing out waterlogged hair, and scrubbing fins are all daily tasks for an Oacian. Additionally food must also be cleaned properly. To feed someone unclean food is a severe insult. Oacian’s absolutely hate disease and getting sick since their society is so self contained.
The symbol of the Oacian’s is a droplet, signifying their position as the second race and the elements of water. The image adorning their banner is that of a lotus flower combined with a scallop shell. A water faring flower comprised of similar shapes of their symbol, and a sea faring creature, common in Oacian cities.
Despite their very fish-like anatomy, Oacian’s still enjoy some surface world time. There are regulated above water coves that Oacians are permitted to visit for some time in the sun, and to stretch their legs.
However leaving these coves and permitted area, or trying to leave the Oacian cities without permission will mean a lifetime banishment, or in some cases, a full blown search and retrieval. Other kingdoms will usually not take an Oacian refugee in to avoid political conflict.
